Each spring, families across Toronto look forward to one of the city’s most cherished traditions: Mooredale’s Mayfair, a vibrant neighbourhood fair held at Rosedale Park in the heart of the Rosedale-Moore Park community. Established in 1946, Mayfair has grown into Toronto’s longest-running neighbourhood fair, bringing generations of families together for a weekend of rides, games, food, and connection. Mayfair 2026 is especially meaningful as it marks the event’s 80th anniversary, celebrating eight decades of community spirit. What began as a small neighbourhood gathering has evolved into a vibrant, large-scale community celebration that remains welcoming and deeply rooted in tradition. Keep reading this blog for tips to make the most of Mayfair and everything you need to know.
Typically held on the first weekend of May, the event begins Friday afternoon, when many students head straight from school, and continues into the evening, followed by a full day on Saturday, marking the unofficial start of spring for the community. From the much-loved Saturday morning parade and midway rides to the thrift tent and BBQ, Mayfair offers something for everyone, including live entertainment, bingo, and inflatables for younger attendees. Mayfair is also continuing its partnership with Second Harvest to collect food for surrounding communities. More than just a neighbourhood fair, Mayfair is a cherished Toronto tradition. It serves as both an important fundraiser for Mooredale House and a true neighbourhood “friend-raiser,” bringing people together and strengthening community connections year after year.
Teachers on Call’s online and in-home tutoring service is proud to be an annual sponsor of Mayfair, supporting this longstanding tradition that brings learning, connection, and joy to families year after year.
