Resources

Apple in Education:  Library of thousands of educational apps in all subjects including English, Math and Science.

Edudemic: Excellent source of articles on the latest educational technology news, tools and trends.

PBS Teachers: Features multimedia resources for students and teachers in all grades from K-12.

What’s Your Learning Style?:  Short quiz from EdutopiaTM to see your learning style with new insights into your learning preferences.

School Family:  Website focused on helping families with expert educational insight, information and resources, including printables.

Organizations

Independent Learning Centre: Provides services for students who want or need independent study options.  Offers Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit courses at a distance that are complementary and equivalent to public school boards.

Integra Foundation: Registered charity that is a leader in the treatment of youth with learning disabilities.  They provide information, advocacy and support for children between the ages of 8-18 and their families.

JVS Toronto: Broad based community organization with a goal to help people of diverse backgrounds to meet their educational and employment goals through a variety of services.

Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario: An important resource for learning disability workshops, tips and up-to-date information.  Also includes links to your regional LDA chapter.

Ontario Ministry of Education:  Includes helpful information and news on curriculum, schools and teaching initiatives.

Ontario Universities’ Application Centre: Central site for applications to all Ontario universities.
