The prom is a milestone and one of the most memorable experiences for high school girls. It is the celebration of their successes and achievements.
Ten years ago, The Corsage Project was founded to support deserving young women from economically disadvantaged homes to celebrate their high school graduation with pride and in style.
Once a year, young women are referred and formally invited to attend a “Boutique Ball”, where assisted by a personal shopper, they select the gown of their choice along with shoes and accessories to match. This past year was the most successful event to date, outfitting nearly 300 accomplished young women.
Teachers on Call is committed to promoting higher learning and continuing education. In 2008, we initiated The Corsage Project Community Award. This scholarship provides support for ongoing education and development following graduation.
In the spirit of community sharing and support, we will continue to sponsor this event annually.
